PlayStation 2 became the most popular game system in 2008.
Analysts from Nielsen (provodivschee study) estimates that the average gamer spent for this prefix 31.7% of total time spent on video games.

Second on the list won the Xbox 360 (17.2%), while third place came Wii (13.4%). Note that the PlayStation 3 was only in fifth place (7.3%), losing the first Xbox (9.7%). We also add that 16.2% of the time gamers spent for other home gaming systems.

Report by Nielsen covers the time period from January to October 2008. Apparently, the analysts took into account only home console. Data about the popularity of portable gaming systems in the report were not included.

The study was conducted among American gamers!
