Electronic Arts income has been poor when it has directed its resources to show their games 3D this according to the company president, John Riccitiello who says EA prefer to use those resources in social characteristics.
Speaking during a meeting with investors EA, Riccitiello said the business of the company responds to consumer needs, and that what we have seen, consumers are demanding 3D: “I honestly have not seen a massive interest in games 3D yet. And we are not here to try to lead the market, but to react to what consumers want.”
“Right now, we are seeing better growth focused on different technological innovation, and social online. And that’s where we’re having income, unlike the 3D that has not had much response. “
In the end, the executive says it is for this very reason that their resources are being directed towards this sector (social), which is growing much faster than the 3D.
