
During the Video Game Awards last year, Electronic Arts introduced an unusual and unexpected one-third of a series that is filled with accolades and awards, a number that is a poem for all fans of sci-fi genre, a series decisions that have real impact. I’m talking about Mass Effect 3 . In the words of Casey Hudson , the executive producer of the series, is the perfect culmination of the series.
The war against the Reapers is about to begin.
Mass Effect 3 was also present during the conference at Electronic Arts. That showed a demo (we’ll talk about that later) and a trailer that showed the Reaper threat on earth. The share is below.
After the summary of the participation of Mass Effect in different conferences, now we will talk impressions of the demo we presented at the Electronic Arts booth, which was led by Casey Hudson. ME3 was noteworthy that one of the most popular game show, because to see the presentation had to wait in line almost two hours. It is certainly one of my nominees for the game show. The presentation opens right in the demo shown during EA’s conference: Commander Shepard and his squad are sent to destroy a facility Geth. What we can tell? One of the things that excited me the demo was to see that improved the match completely, rolling Shepard noted the Gears of War style and using the Omniblade (holographic blade), it really inspires me to give much more attention to hand fighting hand, rather instead of using ranged weapons all the time.

The combat in Mass Effect had always been relatively easy, but, in the words of Hudson, is designed to generate more complex situations, such as the arrival of the Atlas of Cerberus or Reaper chasing you in the demo of Microsoft. We can not deny that ME3 is also based on the correct use of tactics. Menus tactical partners are based entirely on strategic movement and correct use of skills. One of the great details of the demo is the ability to impersonate your weapons and change parts to improve them, this is a sensational addition to everything they stand for ballistic clashes in the series.

Many know that the series of Mass Effect uses the Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine. To ME3 has decided to use a modified version of this engine, so there are a lot of changes and notable graphical improvements in the title, as Shepard’s facial animations, which undoubtedly are more natural. Compared to M2 (a game that itself has amazing graphics) is a another better, but nothing special, just a more polished work. Casey Hudson mentioned that the diversity of scenarios is one of the great wonders of this release. The perfect example of Unreal Engine 3.5, the new graphics engine, is the scene of the first mission, a beautiful valley where there is a basis.
Now let’s get into the demo that was shown behind closed doors, so if you want spoilers for the plot (there are a couple), we recommend to skip this portion.
The next section occurs immediately after the arrival of the Reapers to Earth. Captain Anderson Shepard takes over a city being destroyed in real time by the threat Reaper, the ability of the new engine takes the edge in this sequence. A very important point is the distance, because all the action is taking place far away from the position of Shepard, we see a horizon more distant than in any previous deliveries.

Do not go into details, let’s face it: nobody would like to know how you start ME3 (unfortunately we saw this portion of the demo), so we’ll just say a couple of decisions with direct impact and lots of action. Yes we will say that ME3 is based on emotional tones, morality and ethics. Hudson explained that the story focuses specifically on the war between humans and the Reapers.
